I have been married to my husband, Fred, since 1998, who is a retired Member of the West Virginia State Police.  I have two sons, Jason and Joe Cunningham, who are both graduates of Ripley High School and students at West Virginia University at Morgantown.  I am also blessed with two step-children.  Our daughter, Heather, is married to Jonathan Kay, is a graduate of WVU School of Nursing and Marshall Graduate School with her Masters as a Nurse Practitioner.  They have richly blessed our family with a new baby in January, Ethan Dale!  Our son, Chip Donohoe, is married to Lindsey, and is a Member of the West Virginia State Police stationed in Putnam County, WV.  My parents are Sherwood & Pat Holbert, who also reside in Ripley. 

Before working a Real Estate career full time, I was employed by the State of West Virginia working as a Legal Secretary for the Judge of the Fifth Judicial Circuit Court of Jackson County and the Adult Probation Department for eleven years.  During that time, I worked part-time for a couple of different real estate companies while raising my children. 

I was first licensed as a Real Estate Sales Agent in 1981, worked for the first company nine years, gaining experience and knowledge of the business.  In 1990, I managed a Real Estate Company in Ripley, where I obtained my Broker's License in 1993.  I opened my own company, Cunningham Realty, in 1995, with a desire to give the people in Jackson County another choice in the industry.  I believe every customer is equally important, no matter what price they can afford, we treat them all the same.......we treat our customers like family......the way you would want someone to take care of your family for you.......with confidentiality, honesty, experience and expertise!  We serve all of Jackson County best, but also service the surrounding counties of Mason, Roane, Wirt, Wood, Kanawha, Putnam, Cabell & Ritchie Counties. 

I believe in community involvement, community service and staying active in clubs and organizations that make our town, our County, a better place to raise our families, our children, grandchildren........and yes, your families!  I am active in two International Organizations; The Rotary Club of Ripley (Vice President, 2005; President 2006-07) & The Pilot Club of Jackson County (since 1995).  I am active in the Ripley Area Chamber of Commerce (Secretary-15 yrs.; Vice President 2005-07); Jackson County Chamber of Commerce (Board of Directors 2003-2008); Ripley High School Parent Advisory Council (President 2006-07); and a member & supporter of various other organizations such as The Jackson County Development Authority, Ripley Middle School Partner in Education, Ripley Athletic Boosters (Board of Directors).  We are proud sponsors of The Jackson County Junior Fair & 4-H Clubs of Jackson County; Ripley Little League Baseball; Ripley's Fourth of July Celebration, Relay For Life; Jackson County Community Foundation; The Charity Challenge; Local Sports Teams, Elementary Schools Fall Festivals & PTO Events; The American Cancer Society; The Jackson County Summer Bash; The Jackson County Horse Club; Park's Powerlifter's Team.  Cunningham Realty was awarded The Ripley Area Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year" in 1997.

My name is Gary Lineberry, owner and auctioneer of G.A. Lineberry and Company. I am Licensed and bonded in the state of West Virginia as an auctioneer and I also have my West Virginia real estate license presently with Cheryl Donohoe, owner and broker of Cunningham Realty.

The auction services offered by me and Cunningham Realty are:

  1. Ability to sell real and personal property at auction. The real property is auctioned through Cunningham Realty as the broker.
     
  2. As the auctioneer and real estate agent I will be working for you, the seller.
     

  3. Free evolution of your property to determine the best auction method to use to obtain the highest selling price.
     

  4. Advertising your property. Discussing with you when and where to advertise your auction and determining an advertising budget for the auction. Your property will be exclusively advertised. Your auction will not be advertised with other auctions I may be conducting. Advertising is paid from auction proceeds.
     
  5. Preparing property for auction. This applies mainly to personal property.
     

  6. Scheduling at least one open house so that prospective buyers can inspect the property, ask any question about the auction process, and make any financing arrangements which may be needed.
     
  7. Having an auction crew knowledgeable of auctions.
     

  8. Conduction your auction with the assurance to you that we are working to obtain the highest possible sale price.
     

  9. When your real property is sold, Cheryl Donohoe, broker for Cunningham Realty, will then handle any down payment money in escrow and will prepare for a closing date.
     

  10. Any sale of personal property all money will be handled by myself and settlement will be within 10 working days from the day of the auction.
     

  11. We offer a very competitive commission rate on both real and personal property auctions.

Hi! My name is Vanessa Harpold. I have lived in eastern Jackson County near Marshall outside of Ripley, West Virginia, for my entire lifetime.
 
I have been married to my husband, Bill, for the past 32 years. We have three children, Shelly, Jenny and Billy. All our children are grown; the girls are married with a little girl each. My name is Donna Sanderson. I am married and reside in Millwood, which is located mid-way between Ripley and Ravenswood along the Ohio River. I completed my Real Estate schooling at Spruce School of Real Estate in January 2004 and received my Sales Associates' license in February.
 
I graduated from Pillsbury Bible College, taught school for six years and substituted for nine years. I have taught piano lessons for over 30 years. I have worked as a part-time temporary office worker and have worked in a health foods store as a clerk. I have done personal property taxes for the past ten years.

My husband, David, and I have been married for 30 years. He pastors the Cottageville-Evans Baptist Church as well as works for the Jackson County Assessor's Office. I play the piano and organ for our church and teach children's classes, do secretarial duties and lead a ladies' Bible Study group.

We have two sons who graduated from Ravenswood High School. Paul graduated from WVU Tech with an engineering degree & resides in Orlando, FL, working for Siemens-Westinghouse traveling world-wide working on power plants. Mark graduated from WVU Tech and WV State College with a Business Administration degree. He lives in Nitro and works in St. Albans.

Hi, my name is Sherry Gorman.  I have been a resident of Jackson County for over 30 years.  I love Jackson County and the beautiful state of West Virginia.

I have been married to my husband, Mark, for almost 23 years.  We have one son and two daughters. 

I have always been very active in our community.  I am a member of the Ravenswood Development Authority.  I served as treasurer for one year.  I currently serve on the streetscape committee.  I have been involved in many civic clubs and charitable organizations including Pilot Club, Relay for Life, St. Jude, Food for Friends, Desk & Derrick Club, and Adopt-A-Family. 

I’m a local business owner.  I have been a Curve’s franchisee for three years.  I have also had real estate interests for a few years. 

Prior to owning my own business, I worked in the positions of Marketing & Sales Director, Natural Gas Accounting Assistant, Legal Secretary, and Administrative Assistant.  Although these positions were rewarding, I remained hungry for my own success.  Therefore, a business of my own was a logical choice. 

I completed Real Estate schooling at Spruce School of Real Estate in April, 2006.  I have always been very interested in Real Estate and I look forward to serving this community in its needs. 

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, decorating and restoring my home, and traveling.  I love older homes and spaces that offer uniqueness and character.  I utilize my creative vision, decorating skills, and the ability to think “outside the box” whenever I can.

Hi! My name is Gary Lawson.  I am a resident of Ravenswood, West Virginia. I have been married to my wife Rosemarie for 38 years.   We have one (1) daughter, Karyn, who is married to Jeff Stephens and resides in South Point, Ohio with their three (3) children. Gage (8), Macy (7) and Jarrett (2).

We have one (1) son Kevin who is married to April Dennis and they reside in Hurricane, West Virginia. I am a past member of the Ravenswood Jaycees, and the Ravenswood Lions Club. 

I am a member of the Jackson County C.B. Club. 

I am a member and attend North Ravenswood United Methodist Church. 

I am a member of the Ravenswood City Council and have served in that capacity for twenty-two (22) years. 

I retired from Verizon Communications December 31st 2005 with 35 years of service.

My name is Dorma McIntyre Hughes, and I am a lifelong resident of Jackson County.  I live near Evans, a lovely community a few miles from Ripley, West Virginia. 

 

My husband, Frank, and I have been married for 35 years and have three grown-up children.  Our son Glen lives in Culloden, West Virginia, and works as a training manager for Rite-Aid. Son Joshua is an A-10 pilot in the Air Force, and, with his wife, Jill, lives in Tucson, Arizona. Daughter Georgia is a research and evaluation specialist with Edvantia in Charleston and is working on her doctorate. I attended both WVU and Marshall and hold a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Glenville State College.  After working as a small business accountant and raising my children, I went back to college to become a teacher.  I completed a master’s degree in special education at West Virginia Graduate College, and began working in Jackson County schools as a substitute teacher.  For the past twelve years I have taught learning disabled students at Ripley High School.  Along the way, I also became certified to teach English as a Second Language and have enjoyed working in that capacity for many summers.

 

I enjoy travel, singing in the chancel choir at Epworth United Methodist Church, playing with our many dogs and cats, and genealogy.

Hi! My name is Cindy Parker. I have lived in Ravenswood for almost 30 years. My husband, James Parker, and I have been married for 20 years and have three children. Daniel (19) is attending the University of Charleston where he is a pre-pharmacy student. Katie (13) and Sarah (12) attend Ravenswood Middle School. We are members of the First Baptist Church in Ravenswood.

 

I graduated from Heritage Christian Academy and continued on to West Virginia University at Parkersburg where I received a degree in Nursing and have worked at CAMC Memorial, Jackson General, and a local doctor's office.
